Hello Beauties,

Check out how i achieved this look today!

1.Brow:

I defined my brow with Milani easybrow pencil ( N1200)

2. Use a Foundation Primer

I based my face with bh cosmetics foundation primer.

N5000

3. Liquid Foundarion
I applied my marykay bronze foundation (607) with my bhcosmetics stippling brush. The essence of  the brush is to achieve an airbrush look and this is what most makeup artists use now. ( N2500 )

4. EyeLiner
I lined my inner eye with the Milani easyliner retractable pencil in charcoal black‼️
(N800)

5. Eyeshadow Primer:
The eyeshadow primer helps eyeshadow to sit right on the eyes and also helps longitivity of the eheshadow. I used Milani Eyeshadow primer.

N1500

6. Eyeshadow

I opted for bh cosmetics eyes on the ' 60s (N3500)....this 30 color palette is very handy compared to my numerous palette. I mixed rhe orangish gold and red eyeshadowss?.oh lalala❤️‼️❤️❤️😬
7. Mascara:

I used the Milani lengthening Mascara (N1500) and Maybelline Colossal Mascara (N2000). Are you wondering why i used both? Well, i always advice that you use two different mascaras when applying to your lashes, this gives a thicker and fuller lash look but with this two combination, i get length and volume.

8. Lip Lliner
Bh cosmetics waterpoofed lip liner in rogue. (N700)

9. Lip Stain
My favorite Milani. power Lip stain in (Tango Mango).

10. Milani Mineral Powder‼️‼️‼️

Do you know your Makeup Expiry Dates ❓❓❓

Like the food in your fridge, makeup also expires.  Products that are past their use dates can change colour and texture.  There are also health risks when bacteria builds up which can increase your chances of eye infections and skin rashes.

Throwing out your expired makeup gives you an great excuse to buy new makeup!

Follow these date guidelines to make sure your makeup is always fresh so you always look flawless.

Powders (including foundations, eye shadows, bronzers and blushes): Up to two years-but keep an eye out for changes in consistency

Liquid Foundation: One year

Concealer: One year

Cream eye shadows: 12 to 18 months

Mascara: Three months

Pencil eyeliner: If sharpened regularly, one year

Liquid eyeliner: Up to six months

Lipstick and lip liner: One year

Nail polish: One year

Makeup sponges: Replace weekly

NB: If you were wondering how long before you need to toss that pretty lipstick you’ve had for ages, this lovely photo courtesy of Michele Ng should help you out! It’s meant to be printed as a useful reminder. She’s also thoughtfully included a three-monthly and six-monthly reminder calendar on the bottom in case you didn’t feel like calculating when you need to get rid of your products (click on the link for the full photo). A useful tip is to write the date you purchased an item on a sticker or directly on the case if you want. That way, you’ll always know when to get rid of it according to the expiry times per makeup product.

Tips:

  • . To keep track of when your makeup will expire put a little sticker on the bottom of each item and write the date that you purchased it. Or even better, write the date to throw it away.
  • . Any product that has a change in color, smell or consistency should be thrown away immediately.
  • . Never share makeup, especially eye products.
  • . Close the lids on all products tightly, and store them out of the sunlight.
  • . If you get any kind of infection, throw away all of all the products you were using.
  • . Don’t add water (or anything else) to products unless the manufacturer’s guidelines recommend you do so.

Are you applying your makeup on in the right order?

Applying makeup seems pretty straight forward, but i bet there are a few things you aren't aware of. For starters, how many of you apply concealer before foundation? Or Blush before lipstick? If so, you’re doing it all wrong. There’s definitely a science to applying your makeup products the correct way, and we’re here to report that it’s super easy and really makes a huge difference. And don’t ever skip the primer. That’s one of the most essential steps, and will actually prolong the life of your makeup throughout the day

1. Primer: After properly washing your face, start off with a primer, which will create a smooth canvas for your makeup. It will also help foundation last longer.

2. Foundation: Regardless of what a lot of people say, it’s best to apply foundation before eye shadow. Eyeshadow that falls onto your skin during application is actually easier to remove if you already have foundation on.

3. Concealer: Some people like to apply concealer before foundation, but it’s actually better to apply it afterwards. Foundation will initially help cover upunder eye circles and imperfections, and you can use concealer to lightly go over those areas that need it the most.

4. Loose powder: This is an essential step that will set the foundation and help absorb any excess oil on the face. It also makes it easier to remove any excess eye shadow that may fall underneath the eyes during application.

5. Eyes: Moving on to the eyes, it’s always best to start with eye shadow first, and then apply liner and mascara. You can always go back and touch up the shadow, but you’ll want to make sure to apply it first before adding eyeliner so your lids don’t look “cakey.”

6. Lips: Always line the lips before applying lipstick. This will give  you boundaries for your lipstick, and will also prevent lipstick from smearing and running, not to mention help it last way longer. It’s also easier to pick a lip shade after you’ve finished your eye makeup.

7. Cheeks: Blush can make or break your entire makeup look, so it’s important to wait until the last step to apply it. Make sure to choose a shade that suits both your eye makeup and lipstick colors.

Wishing you all a fun-filled weekend..

PREVENT DRY LIPS! GET A CHAP FREE LIPS 💋💋💋

For some people the weather can take a serious toll on our skin, hair and even our lips.  Follow these easy tips to ensure year round kissable & chap free lips!

Exfoliate your lips.  Removing dead skin cells built up on your lips is very important.  Dry, chapped lips are very unappealing.  And to make matters worse, lipstick will not apply smoothly to dry lips leaving a coloured flaky appearance.

If you have sensitive skin to make your lips look flawless in the winter you can simply apply Vaseline to your lips and wipe away any dead skin using a damn wash cloth.

You could also make a homemade lip scrub using olive/coconut oil with sugar. (How to tips below)

After exfoliating your lips make sure to apply a hydrating lip balm, not a gloss.  Lip gloss can be very drying for your lips, I know it drys mine out.  Try to find a lip balm that contains Vitamin E or cocoa butter

HOMEMADE SUGAR LIP SCRUB

Dry, flaky lips can make your lips appear aged.  If you use a lip scrub your lips will become hydrated and the flakes will be rubbed away.  I prefer to make my own lip scrubs instead of buying them at drugstores.  Here is a simple lip scrub recipe using only two ingredients that everyone should have in their kitchen.

Ingredients:

1/2 tbsp

olive oil (I use extra virgin olive oil)

1/4 tbsp

brown sugar

 Directions:

  1. Combine the two ingredients together until it forms a paste.
  2. Apply to lips in a circular motion and rinse with water.
  3. Seal your lips with a moisturizing lip balm.

 Tips:

  • Store the left overs in a air tight container in your fridge for 3 weeks.
  • Add a drop of vanilla extra for a vanilla flavor
  • Add 3 drops of essential oil, such as peppermint oil.
  • Substitute sweet almond oil or jojoba oil
  • If you don’t have brown sugar on hand then use white sugar instead.
  • Use a SPF lip balm for more protection.

I recommend carmex lip balm or maybelline baby lips if you're trying to get a good one.
