Hello Beauties,
I have compiled a list of the ultimate makeup DOs & DON'Ts and with these tips, no matter what your skill level, you can achieve a gorgeous look without wasting your money or harming your skin! Now that's how we define "Look Good....Feel Good"
Makeup DOs
DO use a foundation that matches your skin tone exactly. Your best bet is to try on a foundation before you buy it. Apply the foundation from your cheek down past your jaw. You're not going to wear foundation on your neck, but you want to make sure it looks natural from your face to your neck.
DO apply foundation on your eyelids up to the brow. Applying foundation on your eyelids will help eyeshadows go on smoothly and cover any redness, giving your entire face an even and smooth appearance.
DO use complementary makeup colors. Think of your blush and lipstick as an outfit you're going to wear on your face. For example, if you are wearing a pink lip color, make sure your blush is in a similar color family. You wouldn't wear a pink skirt and an orange top, would you? DON'T wear that on your face either.
DO apply eyeliner as close to the lash line as possible. A soft black, grey, or charcoal brown shade can beautifully enhance your lashes and frame your eye. Be sure to get the liner between the lashes; it's helpful to use a magnifying mirror to be sure you place it exactly. If the outer corners of your eyelids have begun to droop, make sure the eyeliner turns up ever-so-slightly, so you DON'T emphasize the drooping.
For the lower lash line, for daytime, it's best to use a softer color than you do for the upper lash line. Lining all the way around your eye in black is an extreme look that's best saved for nighttime, if ever.
Helpful hint: Powder eyeshadow can also be worn as eyeliner. Apply it wet or dry with a fine-tip brush.
DO shade and define your eyes. Eyeshadow is all about enhancing your eye area, not coloring it. It's best not to use eyeshadow colors that match your eye-blue eyeshadow does not make blue eyes look better, it just looks out of date and overdone, which is why you rarely see examples of this in fashion magazines. Shades of brown (there are dozens and dozens) all the way to black allow for an amazing range of sophisticated, glamorous, elegant, and classic looks.
DO consider the intensity of your blush with your skin tone. If you have fair to light skin, then pale pink, rose, or peach blush shades are more flattering than deep berry or plum shades, which can make your cheek area look bruised. In contrast, women with medium to tan skin tones can look gorgeous with berry or plum-hued blush, and also can opt for russet, or even mahogany shades.
DO use professional makeup brushes. You'll be surprised at how beautiful your makeup looks when you apply it with full-size, high-quality brushes rather than with the tiny, cheap applicators that often come packaged with makeup. Investing in a set of good brushes is one of the wisest beauty moves you can make!
DO check your makeup in a magnifying mirror. What you can't see, you can't fix; for example, makeup settling into the fine lines around your eye or perhaps into the folds around your mouth. Applying a little powder directly over the line, and then blending upwards and out can keep everything in place, but you have to see it up close to do it right.
Makeup DON'Ts
DON'T wear full makeup every day. It isn't necessary to wear a full eye design every day … consider a simpler look for your daily life. Foundation, concealer, lipstick, blush, eyebrow shapers, if needed, a little powder, and mascara is plenty. Eyeshadow is great, but it's also time consuming, and it'll look bad if you try to slap it on in the few minutes you have in the morning.
DON'T use emollient/greasy concealers on blemishes or the under eye area. Emollient products will either clog pores or slip into lines … all day long.
DON'T use a concealer that is too light or too dark. Using the wrong color concealer will make your eye area look strange. Use a flesh-tone concealer (that means no yellow, orange, or lavender tones) that is just a shade or two lighter than your foundation.
DON'T skip lip color. Adding a pop of color to your lips can brighten up a washed out face and polish your overall look. Experiment to see what colors and intensities look best for your skin tone, and DON'T be afraid to be bold or step out of your comfort zone. Keep in mind that small, thin lips look best with brighter, vivid colors, and larger lips do better with softer shades. Avoid dark colors because they make lips look gloomy and Gothic.
DON'T overdo mascara. Clumped mascara is distracting and messy looking.
DON'T stripe on blush. Use a great blush brush, a soft color, and apply it using light, sweeping strokes. You should see no lines where the blush stops and starts. Blending a little powder on over your blush can soften any lines.
DON'T overdo your eyebrows. Brows that are drawn-on, pencil-thin, overly sparse, strongly arched, or too heavy or thick can make you look older than you really are; plus they can look harsh and dated. If you're at a loss as to what to do for your brows, make an appointment with a brow specialist, who can guide you to the right brow shape and show you effective grooming techniques. Many salons and spas offer this service, or ask around at your favorite cosmetics department.
DON'T glob on lip gloss. Too much gloss can make it look like you're drooling instead of adding a beautiful shine to your lips. If you have lines around your mouth, avoid glossy, slick, or creamy lipsticks because they'll quickly bleed into the fine lines, and they won't last past mid-morning before you need a touch-up.
DON'T get carried away with glitter and shine. A little extra shine or glitter can spice up an evening look, but during the day it's just distracting, kind of like wearing a sequined gown to the office. However, there are many "radiance-boosting" makeup products that forgo that obvious, distracting shine in favor of a subtle luminosity.
DON'T over-moisturize around your eyes. Too much moisturizer encourages concealers and foundations to travel right into the very lines you're trying to hide. If you feel you need an extra-emollient moisturizer around your eyes, apply it at night after you've removed your makeup, and use lighter-weight products during the day.
Now that you know the ultimate makeup dos and don'ts, with a little practice and a dash of finesse, you'll be on your way to looking gorgeous, healthy, and vibrant in no time! Don't forget to check out TheBeautyHaven for all of our affordable & top makeup product recommendations.

Which Foundation is suitable for your Skin type?
Hello beauties,
Today, i wil be talking about the types of foundations we have and how to choose the ideal foundation for your skin type.
So, What are the different types of foundation and how do you choose? Following is a rundown of the types of foundations you will find anywhere you shop for makeup. Remember, knowing your skin type, level of desired coverage, and your personal preferences are key to finding a foundation you'll love to use!
Oil-Free, Matte-Finish Liquid Foundations
The best foundations in this category should have a smooth finish with no shine or dewy appearance. Ideally, the matte finish should last for at least a few hours, but that depends on how oily your skin is. Most oil-free liquid foundations provide sheer to medium coverage, but you can build coverage to the level you desire.
Depending on the formula, this type of foundation may make your skin look or feel dry. It can help to use a primer (such as a mattifying serum loaded with antioxidants) that adds a soft finish to the face.
If your skin is very oily, it could help a great deal to use an oil-control "primer"-type product underneath.
Foundations with a matte finish can exaggerate wrinkles if the finish is too dry. You can remedy this by applying a light layer of moisturizer or a serum underneath, but be aware this can reduce the matte finish.
Not the best if you want to use cream blush or bronzer, as the finish makes it difficult to smoothly.
Long-Wearing, Matte-Finish Liquid Foundations
These liquid foundations are almost always oil-free and the best ones are truly long-wearing and stay put. Most have a thin consistency that sets in place quickly, so blending must be fast and precise. Most blending mistakes can be fixed, but not as easily as with other types of liquid foundations. Those with oily to very oily skin typically do best with this type of foundation.
The best foundations in this category is usually Excellent if you have very oily skin or if you prefer your foundation to look "just-applied" all day. Thin texture and matte finish make this type of foundation a safer bet for breakout-prone skin. Perfect for those who prefer a strong matte finish.
If the foundation is rated SPF 15 or greater, it is a great way to ensure your oily skin gets the sun protection it needs without adding layers of products. Because these set quickly, blending must be fast and precise. Long-wearing finish can make powder blush and eyeshadow application tricky. Blush and eyeshadows with a soft silky finish are your best bets.
This is the most difficult type of foundation to remove. For best results use a makeup remover as well as your regular cleanser with a soft washcloth to be sure you're getting all your makeup off each night.
The long-wearing, relatively unmovable finish of a truly long-wearing foundation makes blending a cream blush or bronzer over it extremely difficult.
Moisturizing Liquid Foundations
These liquid foundations usually have a slightly thicker texture than oil-free foundations and typically are easy to blend due to the amount of slip they have. The best in this category also offer helpful skin-repairing ingredients as well. Because this type of foundation offers a satin or satin-matte finish, they're perfect for women with normal to dry skin.
Moisturizing Liquid Foundations typically provides light to medium coverage so your great skin shows through. Easy to blend because most have great slip without being greasy. It Can be used with cream or cream-to-powder blush and/or bronzer.
This type of foundation is generally not the best option for women with combination skin (the finish makes oily areas look worse).
A tricky option for those with blemish-prone skin because the moisturizing ingredients can contribute to clogged pores.
Satin finish is a beautiful look for women of color (strong matte finishes can make dark skin look ashen).
Works with powder blush or bronzer only if you set the foundation with a sheer application of loose or pressed powder so the blush or bronzer doesn't grab and look too heavy.
Pressed Powder Foundations
These foundations come in a compact and work like regular pressed powders, only with a bit more coverage and ability to stay put. The best ones in this category have a wonderfully silky feel, and are easy to blend. Pressed powder foundations provide light to medium coverage and can work for normal to slightly dry or slightly oily skin types. If you have oily skin, powder foundations can look thick and clumpy; if you have dry skin, the powder will absorb moisture, making your skin drier.
Portable and extremely easy to apply with a brush (sheer coverage) or sponge (medium to full coverage, but be sure to blend well to avoid a heavy, powdered look). Feels light and makes skin look even but not heavy, if applied carefully.
Excellent to use over a daytime moisturizer with sunscreen. These foundations help reduce the shiny finish of some sunscreens. Works beautifully with powder blush or bronzer.
Not a good option if you have any amount of flaky skin because the absorbent finish "grabs" to and exaggerates this issue. Finish can be too absorbent and feel uncomfortable on dry skin.
Can look too thick or change color on those with very oily skin. The color change occurs when pigments in the foundation mix with the excess oil and oxidize. Powdery finish doesn't work well with cream blush or bronzer. If you want more coverage, building too much powder on your skin can look thick and overdone.
Cream-to-Powder Compact Foundations
These foundations are a cross between a pressed-powder and a creamy liquid foundation. They have a very creamy, almost greasy, appearance, but if you're using the best ones in this category, the creaminess will disappear after you blend them on, leaving you with a slightly matte, powdery finish. Coverage can go from sheer to full depending on the formula and how much you apply.
This type of foundation Blends quickly and easily with a sponge or brush, setting to a semi-matte or powdery finish.
Great for those with normal to slightly dry or slightly oily skin if you don't want a true matte or dewy finish. Typically doesn't need to be set with powder, which saves time.Wide range of coverage, from sheer to full. Generally works well with powder blush or bronzer.
Depending on the formula, can blend on too thick and look more obvious than other types of foundation. Not for very oily skin because the cream portion exaggerates shine and the powder finish isn't strong enough to keep excess oil in check. Not for dry to very dry skin because the finish exaggerates dry areas, even when they're prepped with moisturizer.
Depending on how powdery the finish is, this type of foundation can impede smooth application of cream blush or bronzer.
Stick Foundations
Stick foundations are essentially cream-to-powder foundations in stick form. If you want a cream-to-powder foundation and prefer the convenience of a stick these are an option, but they have drawbacks, which is why there aren't many of these being sold.
Most stick foundations go on thicker than powder or cream-to-powder foundations, which make them more problematic for those with oily or blemish-prone skin. Plus, some stick foundations feel thick and heavy.
Because of their size and the type of packaging, stick foundations do travel well, but overall, even the best ones in this category should be approached cautiously. Portable and can double as your concealer.
Some stick foundations have a thick, waxy texture that looks heavy and can lead to clogged pores and/or can worsen acne. Blending can be tricky because most stick foundations set quickly, so you don't have as much play time as with liquid foundations
If the finish is too creamy, it can crease into lines around the eye. This type of foundation is not the best for blemish-prone skin.
Sheer Foundations and Tinted Moisturizers
Sheer foundations and tinted moisturizers are basically interchangeable. They are an excellent choice for a touch of color along with moisture and, more often than not, sun protection. For casual weekend makeup, sheer foundations or tinted moisturizers are excellent options for normal to dry or slightly oily skin that does not need significant coverage.
Sheer foundations and tinted moisturizers are extremely easy to choose and use because they are so sheer you don't have to find an exact match for your skin because they blend on almost invisibly.
Combines soft color, hydration, and sun protection in one product, although you must apply liberally to get the amount of sun protection stated on the label. Works beautifully with cream or cream-to-powder blush or bronzer.
Coverage can be too sheer for any apparent flaws, including skin discolorations, broken capillaries, or red marks from acne, rosacea, or dark circles.
Generally, these are too moist or creamy for oily or breakout-prone skin, putting you at risk for further breakouts. The moist finish makes application of powder blush or bronzer difficult. For best results, set with a dusting of loose or pressed powder or go for a cream blush or bronzer.
Mineral Makeup
Despite widespread marketing to the contrary or what you may have heard, mineral makeup isn't a special type of foundation—it is merely a powder foundation sold in either loose or pressed form.
The same ingredients used in mineral makeup show up in other powder-based foundations, too. Although there is no compelling reason to choose mineral makeup over other types of foundation (it isn't better or safer for your skin, even if it is sensitive), many women like the natural-themed names of these products and are attracted to the branding.
As mentioned above, mineral makeup comes in loose or pressed versions, although the loose-powder version is more common. Both typically provide heavier coverage than what you can achieve from regular pressed-powder foundations.
Mineral makeup can be drying and too absorbent for dry skin or dry areas.
The color can oxidize, pool in large pores, and change color or look streaky over oily areas.
Generally, this type of foundation doesn't work for women of color because the finish and color itself looks ashen or too pasty.
Loose mineral foundation is by far the messiest type of foundation. It can be a pain to travel with because the powder tends to "leak" and the component gets messy. This type of foundation is not at all compatible with cream blush or bronzer.
Self-Adjusting Foundations
These foundations supposedly stop or claim to control oil production and also moisturize skin wherever it's dry. We have yet to see one perform as promised, but it would be great if someone came up with one that did! Ignore the wild claims and focus on the other attributes of these types of foundations—they're almost always lightweight, oil-free liquid foundations best for normal to slightly dry or slightly oily skin.

HOW TO DO YOUR FOUNDATION LIKE A PRO...
The right foundation is essential for a beautiful makeup application. Foundation serves as the canvas for the rest of your makeup and the best ones blend on smoothly and evenly, meshing with your skin.
Forget what you think you know about foundation—it’s come a long way since the cakey, masklike stuff your mom used to wear. “Modern ones feel as lightweight as moisturizer and It makes anyone’s skin look flawless,” Here’s how to get in on the miracle.
Step 1: Find your perfect color
Test foundation on your jawline and check it in the daylight. The color is correct if it disappears without blending. If you can’t afford to splurge on foundation, get a beauty adviser at a department store to help you pick the perfect color.
Step 2: Prep your skin
For the perfect canvas, make sure your skin is clean and moisturized. “Wait five minute before you apply foundation to let moisturizer sink in. Primer is a skippable step unless your makeup has to last through a late night. Or use it alone on lazy days as a quick complexion smoother. Primer can also miinimize pores and mattify your face.
Step 3: Swipe it on the right way
If you want just a little coverage, use your fingers, pros advise. For more coverage, use a sponge. For everyday, dab foundation only where you need it to hide pimples, camouflage redness or even out your T-zone. To get an airbrushed finish, blend makeup all over, including the eye area, starting in the middle and working your way out ( bh Cosmetics stippling brush will help u achieve this), Just don’t pile on extra for big events or photos. Digital cameras won’t wash you out like old school ones used to, so less foundation is appropriate.
Step 4: Do concealer after foundation
If you apply it before, you’ll use more than you need and that base of foundation keeps concealer crease-free. Look for a lightweight liquid in a color one shade lighter than your skin. “Going too light looks fake. Use a small, pointy brush to cover the darkest part of under-eye circles—usually right below the inner and outer corners. If other little skin flaws aren’t quite covered by your foundation, dab on a tiny bit of concealer there too.
Step 5: Finish with luminous powder
New translucent powders that reflect the light help skin glow and take down shine. Dust one on in a W motion. Starting at your hairline on one side, swoop down to your cheekbone, up to the bridge of your nose, back down the other cheek, then up again to the opposite hairline.
It is also very important, that your consider your skin type before getting a foundation. For example, if your skin is oily, you don't want to use the same type of foundation someone with dry skin prefers. If you have a sensitive skin, you most likely won't want a sheer coverage foundation. And if you have normal skin with an even skin tone, you may not want the level of coverage some foundations provide.
Foundation is an absolute must for anyone seeking an even, flawless complexion that radiates beauty. Nothing is worse than looking like you have a mask on your face.
In my next post, i will be explaining more on the different skin types & suitable foundation for such skin types.

9 REASONS WHY YOU SHOULD ALWAYS SMILE!!
Contrary to popular belief, your smile is actually your sexiest feature. I love how much a simple smile can convey. From pure joy to a sexy flirt, your smile speaks long before you ever get the chance. Even most of my male friends agree that smiling is your sexiest feature. It's easy to do, so why not get your sexy on with a genuine smile?
1. CHANGES HOW OTHERS SEE YOU
When you don't smile, others tend to see you as the doom and gloom person. You become one of those background people that simply blends in. Even if you change how you dress or cut your hair, your smile is still your sexiest feature. I've seen people who suddenly change their attitude and start smiling more often. They go from wallflower to the person everyone wants to know.
2. GIVES YOU A CONFIDENCE BOOST

When you smile, you get a nice little boost of feel good chemicals that make you feel happier and more confident. Ask any guy and he'll tell you that the confident woman is always more attractive than the insecure one. Even when I'm feeling shy or insecure, all I have to do is smile and not only do I look more confident, but I feel better about myself too. Another perk is it makes others feel more comfortable.
3. BRIGHTENS YOUR FACE

I can't tell you how many times I've seen women cake on makeup to try and look sexier. No matter how much foundation or highlighter you use, it'll still seem like you're sitting in the shade until you smile. Embrace your smile lines because the moment you smile, no one notices them anymore. People see you as a fun, happy person. A smile works as an on-the-go highlighter, instantly brightening your face and chasing away the shadoows.
4. MAKES YOU APPROACHABLE
Ever notice how people tend to shy away from you when you're in a bad mood? Have a look at yourself in the mirror when You've got the "I hate the world" face on. It's not pretty. Instead of causing people to run away screaming, let go of whatever is stressing you out and smile instead. That single smile becomes a beacon that draws others to you.
5. IT'S ALL NATURAL

Most guys will tell you they love the natural look. While they don't mind you dressing up, they prefer the toned down makeup and casual attire. What's more natural than a smile? Smiles are sexy because they are completely natural and they let guys know whether you're having a good time or not. Even when you go out of your way to look amazing on a date, you can't get the true wow moment until you smile.
6. REDUCES PHYSICAL EFFECTS OF STRESS

Don't you despise those weeks where everything goes wrong? You get bags under your eyes and lines seem to appear out of nowhere. However, the more You smile, the less severe the physical effects of stress become. Smiling doesn't just make you look sexy in the moment. Smiling helps you keep looking sexy. Trust me, the more you smile, the better you'll look and feel inside and out.
7. EASY TO HIGHLIGHT

How often do you try to emphasize features or cover up flaws? We all have those dreaded bad hair days where we try to make everything else look incredible to draw attention away from out uncontrollable poof. While it usually takes a lot of technique and ingenuity to highlight certain aspects, a smile is simple to highlight. A little lip gloss or lipstick and you're ready to go. I like knowing that I can look a little sexier just by highlighting my lips and letting my smile shine through.
8. LOOK INSTANTLY YOUNGER

I'll admit that I love watching people when I'm out and about. One thing I've noticed is how a smile makes people look instantly younger. I honestly thought one woman was in her 40s until she smiled at her husband. All the stress was suddenly erased from her face and she easily looked 10 years younger. Smiling gives you a more youthful appearance. Smiling is definitely a lot cheaper than all those anti-aging creams, right?
9. RELIEVES STRESS

Tense shoulders, a dark mood, crying and looking exhausted are not sexy. Not only does smiling help reduce the physical effects of stress, it relieves stress as well. Stress hormones are put in their place when you smile. Instead of looking stressed out, you look happier and within minutes you'll start to feel the stress leave your body. I know a single smile won't get rid of all your stress, but it will help and make you look and feel sexier in the process.
Smile. It is a simple act, but sometimes takes a lot of effort. A smile can cause boundaries to melt, hearts to warm up, and distances to reduce. Why don't we smile more often? Is it too tough to smile?
Smiling is such an easy thing to do. It helps you become a social butterfly, it also improves your looks, it's hard to find anything else that makes you look as sexy as your smile. Where will you unleash your sexy smile next?
Remember, without your smile, your attire is incomplete.

HOW TO ROCK YOUR NUDE LIPSTICKS???
When looking at how to wear nude lipstick, it’s important to create a certain balance with the rest of your makeup. When done badly, a nude lip can wash out your features. If you want to know how to wear nude lipsticks correctly, it’s all about choosing the right colours and finishes. Check out these tips for how to wear your nude lipstick this fall.

1. EXFOLIATE
When it comes to how to wear nude lipstick, start with a smooth base. A smooth base will prevent lipstick from flaking and looking unsightly. Do this by exfoliating beforehand. If you don’t have a lip scrub, improvise with some Vaseline and a dry toothbrush. Remember to apply balm afterwards to keep lips moisturised.
2. PRIME IT
Once you’ve achieved a smooth base, you want to give something for the lipstick to stick to. Dab on some foundation or lip primer to give your lipstick a base to grip to. Then, line your lips with a colour that matches your skin tone.
3. THE RIGHT COLOUR
When it comes to how to wear nude lipstick, choosing the right colour can make all the difference. As a general guide pale skin tones should stick to soft pink and peach shades, dark skin tones are better suited to chocolate tones, and those with yellow undertones should opt for beiges like caramel and latte. If you’ve got olive skin you can generally get away with most nude colours.
4. THE RIGHT FINISH
Stop your nude lipstick from falling flat by choosing the right kind of finish. Ideally, lipstick with a semi matte or glossy finish is the way to go. A full matte finish needs to be undertaken with caution, and avoid frosty finishes at all costs.

Five (5) makeup brushes for beginners..
ThanksMakeup is one of the many things girls love. But getting started with makeup can be overwhelming. There are just so many brands, so many items, and so many different colors to choose from that beginners might find it very confusing. So, to make it easier for beginners out there, I listed below the basic makeup brushes I believe beginners should have. But remember, these tools are only here to help you apply makeup perfectly. It is not necessary to have all these because your fingers will always be your best tools.
Foundation Brush
A good foundation brush can help you blend the foundation perfectly throughout your face. It is best to use a foundation brush made of synthetic materials because it absorbs less amount of product. Also, natural hair can get easily damaged and break into pieces if you use it for liquid products such as foundation. But you have to make sure that the fibers are as soft as you want them to be to avoid abrasion and irritation. There's a flat foundation brush & also the stippling foundation brush for those of you who love a full coverage look to your foundation. The flat head is made for the foundation to be stippled onto the face. This assures there are no streaks in the foundation and gives a very airbrushed and flawless look to the skin.
Powder Brush
A powder brush is important to apply the right amount of powder on the face and prevent caking. Powder is an important step if you have oily skin to set the makeup and make it last on
your face longer. But applying it with a puff can make powder application uneven and caking can occur. A good powder brush made of natural hair such as goat hair is best for even application of powder. Dip your brush in powder and tap off any excess and apply the powder on your face in sweeping motions.
Eyeshadow Brush
All you really need is one eyeshadow brush so don't stress yourself out too much that you need just about every size and every variant (i.e. blending brush, angled eyeshadow brush, etc.) For beginners, a medium-sized eyeshadow brush is all you need to create various looks and sweep eyeshadow all over your eyelids. This can already be used to blend and apply eyeshadow on various points of the eyes. Natural hair is also ideal for eyeshadows to avoid irritation and for a smooth application. Sweep the brush across the eyeshadow and tap off any excess to avoid any fall-outs.
Blush Brush
This brush can also be used as your highlighter brush or bronzer brush for contouring. This brush makes blush application easier and evenly. Choose a blush brush that has long bristle to avoid overapplication of blush. The long bristles will also prevent irritation of the skin and because of the light application, it won't disturb the foundation. Dip the brush on blush and tap off any excess. Smile and with sweeping motions, apply the blush on the apples of your cheeks.
Eyebrow Brush
In my opinion, this is probably the most important tool beginners should own. It can never be stressed enough how much defining the eyebrows is important. A well-defined set of
eyebrows not only frames the face but highlights the shape of the face as well. An eyebrow brush grooms the eyebrows creating the perfect shape that will frame the face well and highlight your eyes. Brush your eyebrows after applying eyebrow powder or pencil to blend the color well and make it look more natural as well as groom the eyebrows in place. You can also make use of the spoolie (the brush that looks like a mascara applicator)
I will recommend BH cosmetics brush sets or individual brushes as they are quite affordable and very durable. Please call +2348122220660 to get yours or send an email to oyeebony@gmail.com..follow me on twitter @TheBeauty_Haven for updates on the blog.

The Concealer trick..
NiceOne of the most popular secrets shared with the masses has been the concealer trick that is used to perfect eyebrows. When using the concealer trick, a makeup artist will use concealer to lightly highlight the area surrounding the brow in order to create a sharper, more defined brow outline.
Now, let’s be honest, while this method is an excellent technique for beating your face, it is a dangerous weapon in the hands of an ill-equipped makeup enthusiast. When used properly, you’ll be left with a set of fabulous brows. When used improperly, you’ll be left looking like an angry bird…and I’ve been seeing a lot of angry birds lately. The bad thing is that most ladies don’t even know that their brows are overdone. I see them walking down the street strutting their stuff like they know they look good. They have no idea that their brows already yelled “hello!!!” before they even parted their lips to a say a word.
Here are a few tips to help you perfect your brows using the concealer method without going overboard.
Find the proper shade of brow pencil
The whole point of the concealer method is to create natural looking brows. If you have dark hair you should use a pencil that is one or two shades lighter than your hair color. If you have lighter hair, you should use a shade that is one or two shades darker than your hair color. No one under the sun should own or use a black eyebrow pencil. No one. If you are having a difficult time finding a brow pencil shade that works for you, try a matte eyeshadow. There are literally hundreds of matte shades to choose from, so you are sure to find the best shade for you.
Select a concealer shade that works for your skin tone
One of the biggest issues women have when trying to perfect their eyebrows is using the wrong concealer color. Don’t just buy the first concealer color you see. Find a tone that complements your skin. Don’t go too light. Select a concealer that either matches your complexion exactly, or if you want to give your brows dimension select a color that is on shade lighter. Using a shade that is too light is a surefire way to tell the world that you draw on your brows.
Less is more
People tend to get heavy-handed with makeup these days and add too much concealer or brow pencil. I suggest building up to your desired look gradually to ensure you aren’t
overdoing it.
Use a spooly to finish your brows
A spooly is that brush that looks like a mascara applicator. Use it after you’ve applied your eyebrow pencil and concealer to buff out any harsh lines. This will ensure that your brows look flawless and natural.
Define your brows.....Do not let your brows define you...

How to Fill in your Brows...π
Get your brows right....
Defining the brows happened to be the most difficult aspect of makeup for me in beauty school, so i'm not here to criticise anyone okay?? I'm still learning...but to be sincere, i've seen browwwws & i've seen brows...Well, i hope these basic tips will help someone, anyone or everyone thats willing to learn get their BROWS RIGHT! I will also be recommending some really affordable & quality products too....
BROW TIPS!!!
Get your brows professionally waxed or threaded every now and then if budget permits.
If you find someone who does this for a living, he/she can give you a great shape to your brows. The goal is to have the arch of the brow just outside your pupil.
Thicker is better.
Generally, fuller brows portray youth, so obviously keeping them thicker makes you look younger :) You still want to shape them, but go easy on the tweezers!
Shape accordingly.
Ideally you want the inner part of your brow to be thicker, then taper to a thinner line as it goes toward your temple. Again, the arch should be just outside your pupil.
For super dark brows, you may need to lighten them.
If you have fair skin and very dark brows, you may need to lighten them. If your skin is fair and my brows are black, You may bleach them slightly with facial bleach to make them less harsh. Leave the bleach on only for 5 minutes or you will have orange brows!
NEVER EVER fill in your brows with black pencil
Unless you want the black sharpie brows, just please… don’t do this. Even if you have black brows, you want to fill them in with a dark brown- not black.
Find brow powders/pencils/gels with a khaki tint to them- not red.
Because hair naturally has a khaki undertone to it, using a brow pencil that has a touch of khaki color will look more natural.
For the most natural brows, use powder instead of pencil.
For the most natural brows, use a matte finish tan or brown eyeshadow to fill in with. Take an angled brow brush and apply shadow to sparse areas.
Shade accordingly.
Not the entire brow is going to be the same darkness all throughout. Generally, the arch and the tail of the brow should be the most defined and the darkest. The inner part should be slightly more sparse and lighter.
Clean up around the edges.
For very defined and “clean” brows, take a small flat brush and apply creamy concealer under the brows to tidy up the edges. You probably don’t need this step for everyday, but for those more defined brows to go with dramatic looks, this helps sharpen them a bit.
Tame the strays.
Finally, if you're one of those with the curly brows, you may need a brow gel to keep them in place.
I promise to emphasize more on the CONCEALER TRICK in my next post.....till then KEEP CALM & follow me on twitter @thebeauty_haven. You can also Share your favorite products and tips for great looking brows below or to my email oyeebony@gmail.com

Healthy skin...
Good skin care and healthy lifestyle choices can help delay the natural aging process and prevent various skin problems. Get started with these five no-nonsense tips.
1. Protect yourself from the sun
One of the most important ways to take care of your skin is to protect it from the sun. A lifetime of sun exposure can cause wrinkles, age spots and other skin problems.
Use sunscreen. Avoid the sun between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m., when the sun's rays are strongest.
Wear protective clothing.
2. Don't smoke
Smoking makes your skin look older and contributes to wrinkles. Smoking narrows the tiny blood vessels in the outermost layers of skin, which decreases blood flow. Smoking also damages collagen and elastin — the fibers that give your skin its strength and elasticity. In addition, the repetitive facial expressions you make when smoking — such as pursing your lips when inhaling and squinting your eyes to keep out smoke — can contribute to wrinkles.π³
If you smoke, the best way to protect your skin is to quit.
3. Treat your skin gently
Daily cleansing and shaving can take a toll on your skin. To keep it gentle
Limit bath time. Hot water and long showers or baths remove oils from your skin. Limit your bath or shower time, and use warm — rather than hot — water.
Avoid strong soaps. Strong soaps and detergents can strip oil from your skin. Instead, choose mild cleansers.
Shave carefully. To protect and lubricate your skin, apply shaving cream, lotion or gel before shaving. For the closest shave, use a clean, sharp razor. Shave in the direction the hair grows, not against it.
Pat dry. After washing or bathing, gently pat or blot your skin dry with a towel so that some moisture remains on your skin.
Moisturize dry skin. If your skin is dry, use a moisturizer that fits your skin type. For daily use, consider a moisturizer that contains SPF.
4. Eat a healthy diet
A healthy diet can help you look and feel your best. Eat plenty of fruits, vegetables, whole grains and lean proteins. The association between diet and acne isn't clear — but some research suggests that a diet rich in vitamin C and low in unhealthy fats and processed or refined carbohydrates might promote younger looking skin.
5. Manage stress
To encourage healthy skin — and a healthy state of mind — take steps to manage your stress. Set reasonable limits, scale back your to-do list and make time to do the things you enjoy. The results might be more dramatic than you expect.
