Are you applying your makeup on in the right order?

Applying makeup seems pretty straight forward, but i bet there are a few things you aren't aware of. For starters, how many of you apply concealer before foundation? Or Blush before lipstick? If so, you’re doing it all wrong. There’s definitely a science to applying your makeup products the correct way, and we’re here to report that it’s super easy and really makes a huge difference. And don’t ever skip the primer. That’s one of the most essential steps, and will actually prolong the life of your makeup throughout the day

1. Primer: After properly washing your face, start off with a primer, which will create a smooth canvas for your makeup. It will also help foundation last longer.

2. Foundation: Regardless of what a lot of people say, it’s best to apply foundation before eye shadow. Eyeshadow that falls onto your skin during application is actually easier to remove if you already have foundation on.

3. Concealer: Some people like to apply concealer before foundation, but it’s actually better to apply it afterwards. Foundation will initially help cover upunder eye circles and imperfections, and you can use concealer to lightly go over those areas that need it the most.

4. Loose powder: This is an essential step that will set the foundation and help absorb any excess oil on the face. It also makes it easier to remove any excess eye shadow that may fall underneath the eyes during application.

5. Eyes: Moving on to the eyes, it’s always best to start with eye shadow first, and then apply liner and mascara. You can always go back and touch up the shadow, but you’ll want to make sure to apply it first before adding eyeliner so your lids don’t look “cakey.”

6. Lips: Always line the lips before applying lipstick. This will give  you boundaries for your lipstick, and will also prevent lipstick from smearing and running, not to mention help it last way longer. It’s also easier to pick a lip shade after you’ve finished your eye makeup.

7. Cheeks: Blush can make or break your entire makeup look, so it’s important to wait until the last step to apply it. Make sure to choose a shade that suits both your eye makeup and lipstick colors.

Wishing you all a fun-filled weekend..
